ROCK & ROLL
Ray Ban Rooms

For the 75th Anniversary of the Wayfarer, we were asked to re launch the icon.

Since the original Ray-Ban Wayfarers crashed onto the scene in 1952 with their rebellious new shape, they’ve become an accessory legend to rival no other, adorning the faces of music icons like The Smiths, Blondie, Bob Dylan and The Beastie Boys.

We wanted to show Ray Ban’s rich music history new iconic photos on the faces of today’s musical legends.

We commissioned famous music photographer Mick Rock to capture the new icons including Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, LCD Soundsystem and Peaches.

The gig/exhibition ran in New York, London and Tokyo.

The campaign has been running for the past three years and has exploded the popularity of Wayfarers to their former glory, with the Ray Ban Rooms appearing at festivals including 02 Wireless and The Isle of Wight, attracting even more of the biggest up-and-coming names in music, they’re made to be seen in.
